I really love movies. The whole movie industry completely fascinates me. My major goal is to work on one someday. If not, I'd like to be an author or a comic book artist. I am currently a Pre-Teaching major, but that could change any time if I was led to a path that seemed better for me.
My dream will always be with me. I know I can't let this chance pass by me, because I would always regret it if I did.
I will work hard to make my dream happen. One day or another I will work in the movies- just you wait. It could be ten, twenty years until I finally fulfill my goal. But that doesn't mean I wait. Waiting kills dreams, because the fact is that dreams must have constant attention or they will never come to pass. Every choice I make either takes me closer or farther from being a concept designer, and I pray every day for help taking the right paths.

See you there,

Holiday Card Project 2015!
The DeviantArt #HolidayCardProject is back for its 9th year!  With the goal of bringing a bit of holiday cheer to patients in the hospital during the holiday season, the Holiday Card Project connects artists from around the world, applying their tremendous artistic abilities to designing and creating uplifting holiday cards.
In the past few years, this project has received more than 5,000 cards sent in by more than 2,000 deviants from 60 different countries/political regions. Cards are then divvied up and distributed by DeviantArt members to local Los Angeles hospitals, with additional cards given to various hospitals in the U.S. and abroad for DeviantArt volunteers and hospital staff members to hand out to patients.
The idea behind the Holiday Card Project is simple: do something nice for others. However, if you're looking for even more incentive, every deviant who sends in

Guys!  I just thought I'd let everyone know about this awesome opportunity to get a FREE PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP!

I did this last year, and it was great, it gave me the chance to change my username to something more dignified ;)
All you do is make a holiday card and send it to the address in that journal, include your dA username, and some time later you'll be all fancied up for a month!  Free stuff, eh?
Of course, not everything is totally free, you have to write a letter an send it off... but in the US you only need one stamp, and that's only a few cents!  (For my NZ watchers all I know is it takes 3 US stamps to mail a regular letter to NZ, but I'm not sure what it takes to send something to the US)

Since Inktober ended, I've been trying to do more colored stuff at the encouragement of my roommate (who is a fantastic artist BTW). My recent obsession with Back to the Future has lead me to draw Marty McFly in his cute puffy vest and jean jacket.  I'm not totally done yet, but I'll put it up here when I get the chance.
Things have been stressful.  I have lots of essays all the time, and choosing courses for next semester is brutal torture.  I'm having difficulty getting into an art class that will fit with my schedule, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays I have 4 back-to-back classes.  Yeesh.
To calm down I've been watching Phineas and Ferb for nostalgia, and the 90's animated show to try and glean all I can from Back to the Future.  Sadly the stuff I find online is taken from old VCR tapes and is not HD in the slightest.  The voice actors for Clara and Biff are the same as the movies, but Marty and Doc are not, which makes me a little heartbroken because I love their voices.  There are live action segments in the beginning with Christopher Lloyd, and science parts with Bill Nye (why??), so I guess it's acceptable.  I don't really love the art style, so I like to doodle the characters more like the Phineas and Ferb style.

I mean, just look at Clara:…

Anyway, I'm excited for tonight because I'm seeing The Piano Guys live!

Have a good one!
  • Mood: Tense
  • Listening to: Mormon Tabernacle Choir, The Piano Guys
  • Reading: My Geography textbook
  • Watching: Phineas and Ferb, animated Back to the Future
  • Eating: Ramen
  • Drinking: Water

I'm loving the non-Tolkien related stuff. It's really refreshing and well done. (That's not to say that the Tolkien stuff is bad. I like it all.)

Thanks acklaygohome! I find that as a lover of Tolkien, I'm becoming more inclined to follow his footsteps and just make my own stuff every once in a while!
